                                                                      Talk.  Strengthen.  Grow.

The confidentiality of our clients is of greatest importance to us.

The ethical principle of confidentiality requires that information shared by clients with therapists
during the course of treatment is not shared with others unless releases of information are signed.
However, it should be known that there are important exceptions to confidentiality,
namely the mandated laws that governs clinicians: the duty to warn and the duty to protect.
Reports must be made when there are disclosures of suicidal or homicidal ideation or the intent to harm
yourself or someone else. This includes the harm of children, elders, and/or dependent adults.
Additionally, we are mandated to report acts of destruction or intention to destroy property.

Your clinician will review these laws with you in greater detail when you begin services.
Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions.
