Experience

Since founding 713 Chestnut Street Counseling in 2008, I have served as its owner and lead therapist, providing compassionate, evidence-based care in a welcoming environment.

Before opening my private practice, I spent seven years as a full-time, home-based therapist in a grant-funded program offering free services to children and their families. Prior to that, I worked as a family support worker for a New Hampshire nonprofit agency, serving communities across the state.

Since 2002, I’ve supported children, adolescents, individuals, and families both in and out of the court system, continually honing my skills through ongoing education and professional engagement.

The State of New Hampshire selected me as a subject-matter expert to help develop test questions for the Advanced Addictions National Board Exam (IC&RC). I’ve also served on the New Hampshire Psychological Association’s Board and contributed to published research, including the Parent-Infant Attachment Project.  In addition, I taught Doctoral Candidates Group Counseling and Addictions studies at an APA accredited program.

I hold EMDRIA certification in EMDR, maintain credentials as an Integrative Mental Health Professional, and am certified in Dialectical Behavior Therapy. These qualifications allow me to tailor treatment that meet each client’s unique needs and goals.

Since 2018, I have been providing psychological services via telehealth, or virtual therapy. I have received authorization to practice interjurisdictional telepsychology granted by the PsyPact Commission. This has allowed me to capture a greater demographic, and serve the larger population.

My Approach

My therapeutic approach integrates solutions-focused, strength based, cognitive-behavioral techniques with a relational lens, ensuring each session is tailored to your unique needs. When appropriate, I also incorporate EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) to support deeper processing.

I’ve worked with clients across the lifespan on a wide range of concerns, with special focus on:

  • Adolescents and young adults
  • Addictions and recovery
  • Family dynamics and parent-child conflict
  • Anxiety and depression
  • Trauma and life transitions
  • Multicultural and parenting issues
  • Behavioral challenges and stress management
  • Attention challenges
  • Relationship struggles and organizational stress

My goal is to empower you by strengthening the skills you already have—guiding you toward a healthier life. I believe that knowledge and practice are the cornerstones of lasting change, and I’m committed to working with you as you go through this part of your journey.

My Philosophy

At the core of my philosophy is the conviction that every person possesses the innate capacity to lead a life brimming with joy and purpose. Emotional and mental well-being are foundational to overall health, not optional extras. Through therapy, we will activate your inner strengths, cultivate resilience, and build the balance you need to truly flourish.

Beyond the therapy room, simple daily practices—like mindful breathing exercises, physical movement, reflective journaling, and nurturing supportive connections—can extend and reinforce the progress we make together, helping you sustain emotional equilibrium long after our sessions end.
